The map below is taken from the IWM CD of trench maps. It shows the area in which the 2nd Battalion were involved. It is useful to refer to this when reading the CO’s report of the events on 21st March.  I cannot locate all the trenches to which he refers, but there are enough identifiable references to be able to trace the action.
